3:10 to YUMA (2008 DVD)
I bought this DVD a couple of months ago, principally for my husband to watch, based on the excellent reviews the film had received in the press and from various film critics.
Having now watched the movie, I have to say that both my husband and I were disappointed with it and, frankly, fail to see how it earned rave reviews - except perhaps for the violence, the special effects and the photography. We found Russell Crowe to be unconvincing in his role as a gunfighter, although Christian Bale's performance was very good. Ignoring the fact that the film is a remake, in our opinion it cannot be compared to Clint Eastwood's "Unforgiven".
Perhaps we missed something, but for my money there are far better Western-style movies to watch, including "Open Range".

"Ring Two" rates an "A OK".
I agree with an earlier reviewer who said they thought this sequel was an improvement on the original. The production and special effects are good, and the principal actors perform without the tongue-in-cheek approach you find in e.g. the "Scream" movies. "The Ring Two" isn't outstanding, wouldn't win any awards and is pretty predictable; but am I sorry I bought it, "no"; would I buy it again, "yes" (at the price I paid on eBay). All in all, if you are into the horror genre of movies, and particularly if you saw the original Ring, I don't think you'll be disappointed with the sequel.

Nintendo DS Lite - Metallic Pink
5 personnes sur 5 ont jugé cet avis utile. A great hand held gaming device from Nintendo that withstands the test of time - even in the face of its newer rival(s) the Nintendo DSi, and the upcoming Nintendo DSi XL.
A long-time fan of hand held systems, because of their portability, and the fact that they can be used anytime, anywhere, unlike X boxes and Nintendo Wii's. I already had a Nintendo DS Lite, but needed another one in a hurry. I was attracted by the fact that this particular auction was for a lightly used system. I was not disappointed, and it has proved a welcome addition to my collection of Nintendo products.
The DS Lite may not have all the bells and whistles of the DSi, but in my humble opinion it still has a lot to offer hand held game players young and old. It also has the plus of being able to play Nintendo Advance game carts as/when called for. The list of games being developed for the DS game system series is constantly expanding, with old ga,e formats being revamped, and newer innovations being introduced that make full(er) use of the system's capabilities.
To anyone who might like to "give it a whirl", I would encourage doing what I did, and check the eBay auction sights for lightly used and carefully kept systems that come with all the originl accessories e.g. AC adaptor.
