Remember Remember, or repeat history.

I can't remember having such a good time at the movies than I did at this flick. A little slow in the beginning but the rest was such a "blast". It is set in England in the near future and the government is ruling by conspiracy and fear. Sound familiar? The story could have taken place right here in the USA and would have been effective. The idea of revolution in this country is absurd, right? Well at least not for a while anyway. The maim themes are simple, you can not kill an idea and one man can make a difference. Rather to go on and on about the details it is one of those movies that really got me thinking that sure this is only a movie but governments will and have paid the price for underestimating the will of the people pushed too far. Enjoy!!!

Dragonfly, supernatural sleeper.

Yet another movie I would recommend in this genre. Kevin Costner is always a good choice for these movies as the everyman caught up in a transcendental situation. In the movie his wife is killed in South America doing volenteer work with tribal people. "Joe" feels no closer after this event and is randomly being conected with people who say they have seen her and that she is trying to contact him. Thats all I can teel you without ruining the plot for you. If you have ever had the experience were a chain of events led you to certain people to bring a result you were seeking or the resolution of a problem this is your movie. I will say this it has a good ending and be prepared to cry, I'm a guy and boy did I gush some at the end of this one

Contact is a winner!

One of my favorite movies of the 90's. Jodie Foster is great as Arroway. I know a lot of people did not like the ending but it made perfect sense to me. The science was solid and believable and was well done overall. There was a shape or symbol that repeated itself through the movie that I have never understood. It showed up as spilled popcorn on a floor and as a star constellation and other places. Anyway good movie for everyone.
