Pricey but outstanding performance.
This stone is different than the others I have used because it removes much more metal with each stroke. It seems to be not easily worn down and I expect it to last. It gives a very sharp edge as you would expect from a 12,000 grit stone. The case protects it and serves as a base while in use. The size is generous for wide plane blades, etc. The price is high enough to make you need to be a fanatic for sharp objects like I am.

Great Faber-Castell quality
These pencils produce a smooth, uniform color that blends well with the others. I haven't had a problem with the leads breaking even though they seem soft. Good intensity, good selection of colors among the 36 (not 48) pencils. The price was my main reason for buying them, at 50 cents each they were one of the best bargains.

Specialized head for more tone.
Good for situations where you want more tone from the drum. Does not control ring at all. Feels good to the touch. Not for brushes. Best on a heavy wood snare in a small venue.
