Prosperous Economy....Government Initiative or Private Sector Organism?

Written in the late 1940's the content is no less relevant. I like Hazlitt's simplified explanation of economic consequences of government initiatives from taxation to incentives to projects. He emphasizes what the private sector might have done with monies taken through taxation verses what is 'accomplished' by the hand of government.
