Display not waterproof.

I purchased radio late last year and everything seemed to be good. I recently got caught in some rain and water got behind the display. The radio still works but now that the water dried, there is water spots on the inside of the screen which makes it difficult to see the display in spots. I guess it is not that waterproof.
