Solid Sweet Spot Easy to Hit
First, I changed the shaft to a Grafalloy ProLaunch Blue 65 regular flex to get a low kick point and therefore, a high launch. I also set the head to 11 degrees. All of the changes were made after 3 range sessions. By the way, I spray the club face with Equate Athlete's Foot Powder from Walmart so I know exactly where my club face made contact with the ball. It also tells me about my swing consistency.
I've played 6 rounds with the new club and setup. My average score dropped from 83.0 to 81.1. My fairway hit has increased almost 20% which doesn't matter unless it translates to greens in regulation. It translates! My GIR's are up 17%.
I'm 67 and my index is now 9.4. I play 70 to 90 rounds per year.
