Simple to operate, effective, but awkward to move around.
Overall, I think that it is probably doing a good job. Have only had it for about a week. The room "feels" fresher after the unit has been on high for a while. There are 3 speeds. At high speed, it is rather noisy. At low speed, it is pretty quiet, and I can tolerate it right next to the head of my bed. I purchased it because it had high ratings on Consumer Reports, and it was much less expensive than Amazon.
I generally run it on high speed in my great room during the day, and that is tolerable and seems to turn the air over pretty well.
At this point, the only thing that doesn't work for me is that it is rather large, and though it only weighs 15-20 pounds, it doesn't have handles or casters, which makes it rather awkward to move from room to room.
