Fueled By Angst (Cassette)

The "ultra heavy beat" most commonly known as KMFDM's style pounds strong in this cassette. Close to the top of my favorite KMFDM albums list! Heavy metal and strong dance beats set off with powerful lyrics makes this album similar to other KMFDM albums you'll hear, but none-the-less entertaining and thought-provoking. Although most songs deal with adult or mature sorts of thinking and themes, the lyrics are primarily clean. KMFDM is likely one of the best industrial bands you'll ever hear. So many influences go into the excellent production of their works, including the lead man, Sascha Konietzko, and others like En Esch, Raymond Watts, Mark Durante, and more. The Angst album features good variety in songs, better in my opinion than other albums. However, one of the main drawbacks you may notice is that by the end of the album, things seem to start to dwell and drag a little. I've read that others agree with this point. However, with all points considered, I would still recommend Angst as one of the best KMFDM albums out. If you're ready to try a taste of KMFDM, Angst should be a good way to go.

Son of a Gun!

They did it again! KMFDM's 11th album, Xtort, is right up there on my list of top KMFDM albums! Super powerful ballads of politics, religion, anger, angst, and self-promotion are backed with a beat heavy enough that you will feel it deep inside. They write the songs in certain terms, stating what they have to say in meaningful poetry that's not to be taken lightly. Perhaps one of the best things about KMFDM is that they can powerfully display their controversial views in song without the swearing or screaming you may think of. Heavy metal and techno-influences push KMFDM's music near the top of the industrial genre. The Xtort album may very well be one of their best. Highly recommended to metal and industrial musicians and fans. As stated in the song "Power," it's the "industrial soundtrack to the holy wars!"

She's "The One" (Cassette)

Shakira's first English album is amazing. Truly something you can really get into - featuring lots of different beats, some songs that make you want to get up and dance and some that are mellow and thoughtful. Shakira's unique voice and style provides dimension to the album, making it unlike any other artist out there. Shakira's no one-hit-wonder, either! Quite a few of the songs on this album have made it onto radio and billboard charts, a few of which even had their own music videos featured on MTV and the like. "Objection (Tango)," "Underneath Your Clothes," "Whenever, Wherever," and "The One" were all on the radio at one point. The album also includes four tracks in Spanish, two of which are original and two of which are the Spanish versions of album tracks in English ("Te Aviso, Te Anuncio (Tango)" and "Suerte"). If you enjoy pop music and strong female artists, and can appreciate the Latin influence and ecclectic style that Shakira brings, I would highly recommend this album. One of my favorites!
