Great book with easy to follow instructional photos.
The book is fantastic great pictures with step by step pics and good instructions. The flys shown are ones I will use and fish.

Hackle plier
I upgraded to this and glad I did. I tie large and small flies. This grips feathers great no matter what size.

composition reel
This is a composite reel is high quality with a good disk drag that I think will match my rod well as is lighter then the aluminum reels. 1 thing not sure of is disclaimer of materials used may cause cancer??? I do know worked of a few 3 lb bass.
