Quality craftmanship
This is a great mild razor that tames Feather blades, which are renown for being some of the sharpest blades for a DE razor. Some say that only the Feather blades makes the razor work, but others say that the GSB, Kai and BIC does the job.
So far the GSB (Gillette Silver Blue), BIC and Feather works for me in the razor. Where they give good mild shaves, if you angle the razor right. It requires a 45 degree angle, which is different from your regular DE razors. Where you should aim for a 30 degree angle by comparison. Its real hard to cut yourself with it, unless you mess up the angle and get unlucky. While best case scenario you are left only feeling a bit sore on the area.
The stand it comes with is very heavy, also being made from stainless steel. The price may be steep for some, but if you compare artistan razor prices to the Feather, then I think you're getting a good bargain. Especially if you buy it from Ebay, since in my experience, local prices are much higher.
Once you hold it in your hand and see the quality, you'll realise that the razor is worth its price. Team it up with a sharp blade, hit the angle right and you get an effortless shave.
