Philadelphia soundtrack
Good music, especially Neil Young's title track. That's why I bought it.

The book and the title are one.
John Birch is the most misunderstood American hero of the 20th Century. He was a Baptist missionary in China at the beginning of WW2 and rescued Jimmy Doolittle and his crew when they ran out of fuel after their raid over Tokyo. At Doolittle's recommendation, he worked diligently for the OSS (early CIA) ito provide strategic information for Claire Chennault's Flying Tigers. He was promoted and decorated for his service. At the war's end, he was mercilessly bayoneted to death by the Communist Chinese as he led a group of men to free an American POW camp. He has nothing to do with the John Birch Society except Robert Welch named it for him in his honor as an opponent to Communist aggression.
