Mac Mini - look no further!
If you are new to apple, understand that there is a learning curve coming from windows based machines... But that said- I grew up on Windows PCs and I will NEVER go back! Apple products are intuitive and practically bullet proof. Viruses are not a risk. I got this item for a music server to put all of my CDs on iTunes. I'm about half way done and I haven't encountered any issues with 700 CDs ripped to iTunes. If you are looking for an affordable small computer - look no further. It's best to get a 2010 so you can still have a CD drive and upgradable memory and hard drive.

Surprisingly fast and efficient
Really very fast, compact and usb powered. I bought this drive to rip my Blu-ray collection to a server. I have it plugged into my 2012 MacBook Pro and it only takes about 10-15 minutes per Blu Ray!
