Great little film SLR with a lot of capabilities

Can't believe the deal I got on this great little workhorse of a film SLR. Don't let the lightweight plastic body fool you, this is a great little camera with high-end capabilities and beautiful image quality. If you want to try your hand in the analog film world, this is the perfect starter SLR because it has several familiar presets and a fully automatic mode that works great. Just point, compose the shot through the eye viewfinder (just like the old days, guys!) and shoot. As you learn more and want more control of your settings, the Canon EOS Rebel 2000 offers all the manual control of higher end SLR cameras. For example, the camera offers evaluative or partial metering patterns, depth of field preview, AE lock, Auto Exposure Bracketing, multiple exposure and more. It is takes all EF lenses, too. I'm impressed with the built-in flash, but there is a great hot shoe flash mount as well. I've really really really missed shooting film, so I wanted a film SLR that didn't break the bank to allow me to jump back into the waters I abandoned 15 years ago when I transitioned to digital photography. It was a joy to load and shoot a roll of Tri-X after all these years, and the resulting images are outstanding.
