Not up to my standards.
I am a big fan of time travel books, but just could not get into this one. I usually read one in a week, I have been working on this one for over a month and probably won't finish it. I don't like that the author had to interject a scene between 2 gay men that was happening in about 1870 and comments about George W. Bush. I read these type of books to get away from the modern day liberals, so I won't be buying any other book by this author.

A career well done.
I have always liked Maureen O'hara and this book makes me like her even more. She is such a lady.
