Not quite good enough.
I am a professional engineer in silicon valley. I handle all kinds of components all day long. As for this transformer product, the ferrite parts are good. Well cast and solid. However, the plastic bobbin that requires a lot of improvement. So fragile, you can break them with your mind. I purchase two of these and, in both cases, the plastic bobbins broke when the slightest pressure was applied. After very careful handling, I was able to wind a simple transformer and it worked OK. If this vendor will improve the plastic bobbin's strength, I would seriously consider trying them again.

home video history
Published in 1973, this was the seminal journal on the then brand new subject of personal video tape recording technology. Predating Betamax and VHS by several years, this book went into excellent detail on how to use the equipment of the day, particularly the 1/2 inch EIAJ and one inch format open reel VTRs. This information sits on the cusp between BW only recording and the arrival of color technology! Dated by today's standards, this book is an excellent historical reference for the truly serious videographer or the casual student of television history. Before non-linear and even linear video editing, the user would use pencil marks on the actual tape and a ruler to measure edit in/out points and lign them up by rocking the reels manually to the correct point! This was the era just before cheap computers became available rendering manual edits obsolete. Charles Besinger provided this masterpiece of the exploding technological era of the early 1970s in just the right way to virtually launch an industry. No archive is complete without this book. I can not say how many careers were launched by thos piece of work, but I can say for a fact that mine was. Imagine the impact of this book on a 16 year old video freak.

Works but....
I purchased this item to view magnetic recordings on tape and discs. It works with large powerful magnets. but, not with weak ones. If you work with strong magnets, it is good. If you work with weak magnets, keep looking.
