Perfect for software raid
If you run zfs or other similar software raid, you don't actually want fancy raid cards are they do an inferior job. Just a plain hba is what you want and let the more powerful, feature rich, and critically updated are software raid do it's stuff, without a raid card underneath interfering in the iops and getting it wrong

Dangerous Avoid if you dont like fires and electrocution
1 personnes sur 1 ont jugé cet avis utile. Just nearly killed me. The wire suddenly started popping and smoking and would have caught fire if i hadn't yanked it out of the socket. There were no external signs of damage on this cable
