Nicely designed updated Gen2 Wink Hub that has very good responsiveness
2 personnes sur 2 ont jugé cet avis utile. The Wink Hub 2 has been great. NOTE: I did not do a transfer of settings and moved all of my products over manually from the previous Gen 1 Hub.
Positives:
- Z-Wave Sensors and Light switches moved over easily. Unpaired them manually from the Old Gen 1 Hub and then they paired easily with the new Gen 2 Hub. It went very smooth.
- Lutron Caseta Light Switches, Dimmer Switches, and Remotes paired easily. The Dimmer Switches and Remotes paired flawlessly to the new Wink Hub Gen 2 and are well supported in the Wink App. Some of the Lutron Caseta Light Switches (not dimmers, only on/off) paired with the new Gen 2 Hub however, they are not officially supported in the Wink App. I was able to get them recognized in the Wink App and they are usable, but not fully supported.
- Was easy to pair some old Quirky Trippers I had. Couldn't get the Gen 1 Hub to pair with them, but the Gen 2 Hub had no issues. I was really surprised!
- Finally, the best feature is the responsiveness of the Wink Hub Gen 2. Hooking the lights and the sensors to the new Wink Gen 2 Hub provided almost instantaneous response. For example, once motion was detected to when the lights turned out was immediate. I couldn't tell the difference from some other non-smart motion sensor lights I have installed.
- I like the updated sleeker design look
Negatives:
- If you are going to using the "Transfer" function do it immediately before moving anything manually as it will force you to delete any settings on the Gen 2 Hub prior to transfer.
- As others have stated won't allow you to "Transfer" Lutron devices.
- I don't know about other device limitations, but as stated some workaround needed to install the Lutron Caseta Switches. Not exactly issue with Hub but more issues with the Wink App
Overall extremely pleased with the responsiveness especially with the sensors as old hub took several seconds to turn on any lights and with the new hub it's very responsive.
