Be careful before buying

Product description is vague. I purchased the device for an application that is was not designed for. It is designed to attach to a PC or laptop directly via the USB interface, it will not work with a remote hub as a hard drive storage device attached to an Ethernet network. Tech support is difficult to obtain.
