A GREAT "non-smart" phone!
12 personnes sur 12 ont jugé cet avis utile. If you do NOT want a smart phone, but you want a phone for TALKING with fabulous sound quality, ear-piece, mike, speaker-phone, and blue-tooth dongle that works, then go no farther.
I had a cheap "dumb" phone because, with the move to smart phones, it seemed nobody was making a "dumb" phone with high quality components. My phone had a tinny rattily speaker, a blue tooth dongle that would cut in and out, bad reception and a battery life of about one day. I finally got sick of it and went on a hunt, looking at every available "non-smart" and "feature" phone out there. I needed a GSM phone and, this Kyocera XE E4710 phone was the ONLY one I could find that seemed to be great in all the right places. And it is!
This phone has great battery life IF only used as a phone. Of course, as with any phone, if you leave on blue tooth, WiFi, etc., it will suck the battery dry. But just as a phone, you'll get three-four days average use between charges. I also needed a phone i could just shove into my pocket with tools, screws, nails, etc., that could damage an unprotected touch screen, and this flip phone nicely filled the bill. The fact that the phone is super durable, built to military standards, is a bonus.
By the way, I bought this phone as a new "open box" for $89.99, and it is absolutely perfect. There is no sense in spending more to get a sealed box.
The only real negative for me is the fact that Kyocera made this phone for AT&T (groan) and I get a SUPER-annoying AT&T pop-up demanding that I connect to their cloud EVERY TIME I try to open contacts. After hours of research I have learned that since I am not an AT&T customer and am outside the US, it seems there is nothing I can do about it, and will have to live with it for the life of the phone. In this day and age of technology, that seems to be an unnecessary affront, but there you go -- that's AT&T for you -- in your pocket and in your face!
