A little more detail would help.
Some lovely images and Mencos’ introductory text is charming but something more about the images and their context would have been good.

An exemplar for national ecologies
A somewhat overwhelming book about the habitats and ecology of Costa Rica but it is a fabulous source of information for those planning a visit and interested in natural history.

Blue Guide Greece
The Blue Guudes are superb because they offer reasonably thorough descriptions and history of places the tourist visits not just pictures and superficial coverage. Not great on hotels and restaurants but if you really want to know a place buy a Blue Guide!
