Truly more running shoe than athletic or casual shoe. Soles are awkwardly thick and wide for my taste. I find myself dragging them against things in normal use that I typically would not with other shoes. I doubt this is a universal characteristic, but the pair I bought fit more like a half size lower in the toe area. They are relatively lightweight but feel bulky because of the large dimensional aspects of the sole. I wouldn't buy another pair even for the price I got them at. 100% runners.
