Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace

Very good, well rounded Sci Fi movie that kids can watch too.

There are lots of interesting aliens and their vehicles. Good characters and action, interesting story and unusual settings, a few good monsters.

Juiced (PS2)

I bought this game because I wanted to race online and winning cars from other racers appeals to me. I have been happy with this game. I like its daylight races (unlike Midnight Club and Need for Speed). The decent variety of cars are upgradeable, the race calendar is cool, and the sprint (drag) racing is fun. The lower powered cars handle well but the highest powered cars were hard for me to compete with. The A.I. opponents had seemingly supernatural abilities to catch up. There is not a lot of action online with this game these days either, unfortunately. This is a fun game for the price it is going for now but I am still waiting for PS2's version of Xbox's Forza. I hope that game has opponents with interesting personalities, drag racing, online racing, and pink slip racing like this one.

I like this book so much I am buying copies to give away. I live in the area the book is written about. I guess it's a bit like Garrison Kiellor's writings in that it captures the characters and characteristics of the type of community it describes. I think more people should know about this book. Each chapter is a stand alone story that could be light hearted, or informative, or sober, or sentimental. I liked each of the chapters; some I will probably never forget. I am not a book critic but I thought this book was first rate and I will pass it around and re-read it.
