Never worked from the day it arrived

I used the same machine for a decade with exceptional service. My old machine stopped operating and I had several spare new toner packages so bought another on EBay. It arrived bundled in cardboard and plastic. I tried to get it to work and all it would do was show a green 'Ready' light no matter what I did (never showed a problem light????). I borrowed the same machine from a friend which worked fine on my computer with the new machine's cables and my software drivers. I went over every adjustment and even swapped the drum between machines without any impact on the frozen 'Ready' light. An expensive piece of junk that I don't know what to do with.
