Definitely worth the money!
Easy to set up. The screws are very tiny, make sure you put something down to catch them if you drop one. Excellent picture. The cost is less than one years subscription to Ring, and it works just as well.

Once you get it figured out...
The start-up is nothing like what the instructions say they are, mine did not automatically start. However, being of mediocre computer skills, I was able to find the setup file and run it manually. Once you get the menu figured out, it works great. I had to change the microphone settings to get sound, but that's not unusual. You can watch the video as it records if you want. I muted the sound, minimized the screen, and worked from another window. I simply reopened the window to see if the VHS tape had played out, then started a new one. Each recording automatically creates a file, names itself with the date and time, then stores it for you. As a precaution, I created a separate folder on my desktop and copied each movie into it. It's very convenient, I put a tape in as I was going to bed, and let it run by itself.
I was hesitant to buy this, since most devices that perform this function cost $80 - $100, but this does exactly what it's supposed to do, I would definitely recommend it!
