Floats with a stable load

This sled is good quality and was shipped quickly. It arrives without any packaging, just a shipping label on the sled, but I knew that before I ordered based on other reviews I read online, so I wasn't surprised. It was fine, and arrived in perfect condition. Also it fits great in the back of my SUV! I got it because it floats and I wanted something to haul my dogs and small cooler across a short stretch of water to an island at the lake where we live. They love to go to the island and run around, but one of my dogs can't swim well and one can, but she prefers to ride. My dogs are 82 and 67 lbs. I'm not sure what my cooler weighs, but it didn't work out the way I had hoped. My 82 lb dog sat upright in the corner which made it dip too low and take on some water. If I could have gotten them to stay perfectly still and disperse their weight better it may have worked, but they are dogs. I know this is not what the sled is intended for, so I still give it 5 stars because it seems really well made. If your cargo is immobile as intended I think the sled will work great! I was able to pull a 67 lb dog and small cooler, and dry bag across the water, but it was still challenging because he wanted to lay in the corner, so I had to hold it up to keep water from coming over the side. Anyway, I'm sure we will find some other uses for it.
