For Those That Love History of the Westward Expansion
Full disclosure: this will make the fourth copy I’ve bought.
This is such a compelling biographically and historically accurate account of the great Lewis and Clark Expedition.
The expedition actually began several years before the launch, with much planning and preparations such as learning how to draw, detail, and classify plant and wildlife they would encounter that had not been seen by people east of the Mississippi.
The book is detailed and taken from actual journals and accounts.
The reason I bought my 4th copy is that I’ve given the others to friends and family that have shown interest in our travels along the Lewis and Clark trails from St Louis to the Pacific Ocean.
This is a great book.
Stephen Ambrose is a historian with a knack for keeping it interesting.
