Awesome product, solved my problem! Here is the detailed explanation.: After months of diagnostics including from AMANA authorized servicer Fields Appliances ($99) and replacing control board, start relay etc on AMANA ASD2575 side-by-side, my refridgerator kept tripping the GFCI every 5:53 hours. The defrost heater had a continuity in my testing and also after removal. But it was leaking small (10-20 milliamp) of current and tripping the GFCI. We continued using the appliance after resetting GFCI but after a week, it stopeed cooling the refridgerator to safe levels. We manually defrosted the evaporator coil using a hair dryer sveral times to get back to normal cooling. Replacing with this defrost heater, evrything works normally now. It was delivered on time as promised at a very reasonable price so it is a great value. Hope this info helps someone else to do it sooner thus saving money, effort and time!!!! Now only if AMANA supports its products by detailed instructions including correctly removing the evaporator, heat shield to properly remove and reinstall the defrost heater . They failed to provide appropriate support and kept referring to their authorized but incompetent service company which is a ripoff.
