Great little organizer
This is a wonderful device to use! The screen is clear, and the font is big enough for my rapidly aging eyes to see. I was able to download the software off of Internet Archive and it runs incredibly well on my Linux box through Wine. It has the best expense manager I've ever seen on a vintage PDA or electronic organizer and all of the other functions are pretty good, too.

Useable Nostalgia
I owned one of these back when they were first released, but in the ensuing 20+ years it died at some point and then got lost in a move. Having a new one has been a wonderfully nostalgic experience, and useful at the same time.
The screen's top row was dead (I've had some of my parts wear out over the last 25 years, too!), but a quick blast from a hot air gun and some pressure from a silicone spatula fixed that up quite nicely. The backlight still works beautifully, and the calendar is good through 2099 so it's still useful.
64k may not sound like much, but it is about a thousand average length entries. And given that there is no way to transfer data to it besides typing it out one entry at a time, it will take a while to fill this guy up.
Seeing as this dates back to 1997/98, there are some things that you might expect from a calendar/scheduler that this unit does not have. The only way to create a recurring event is with the Anniversary function, and that is only for full-day events that happen on the same day every year. You can add alarms to events, but they will only go off at the time that the event occurs. If you want an alarm 10 or 15 minutes prior to the event then you need to input the start time early as well.
This is a wonderful little gadget, and I'm very pleased with my purchase!

Perfect fit for my needs
Back when these were new devices, I owned a low end Sharp but drooled on the higher end units. Part of what I was looking for was nostalgia, but I was also looking for something purpose-built, with no distractions for keeping track of my schedule, notes, and important contacts. This little machine fits the bill perfectly.
Since it is a 25 year old unit, there are some quirks that you'll need to work around if you want to use it as a daily driver. It defaults to CAPS being on for everything, and there is no way to disable that. I'm still trying to find out if there is a way to see Reminder (anniversary) data easily, and there is no simple "day-at-a-glance" that will combine Schedule, Reminder, and To-Do information. If those are minor issues that you can overlook when using it, then it's an astounding gadget.
Transferring data to a PC (especially under Linux!) can be a bit of a challenge, but that's some of the fun of it for me. It's not as easily pocketable as many of the smaller units, but the generously large screen more than makes up for it in my opinion.
