Michael Crighton 1st novel The Andromeda Strain
I'm reading the book for the first time. I remember as a kid watching the movie. It was the most advanced scifi movie of it's time. With the Chinese biological attack against the People of the United States with Covid19 this book is a perfect example of how bad things can get. Government overreach, arrogance and ignorance was the problem with the Andromeda Strain just as it is the problem with Covid19.

Writing instruments rarely found.
The ink wells are blue cobalt glass with chrome lids. The lids have a spring catch on the side that keep the lid closed when not in use. One bottle of calligraphy ink will fill up both wells. The pictures made them appear larger than they actually are.
