Works almost as expected
Charged a few controllers with it, seems to work ok, except for the fact that once the dock's LED changes color to indicate that a controller is charged, the controller's LEDs keep flashing, indicating that power is still sent to the controller. I did not see the light turn off like they do when charging from the PS3 directly. I am concerned that this could overcharge the controller's battery.
It is nice to be able to charge all controllers at once without turning the PS3 on, though. So it's useful, but I will keep an eye on it while charging, and remove the controllers once the dock says they are charged. I was expecting something that you can just put the controllers on and forget it, but that does not seem to be the case.
Also, the used unit I received had a missing rubber foot, so they probably could have used stronger glue or a different system than the usual glued on rubber feet.

Used these two modules together in an old Synology DS1513+ and they work just fine (removed the original 2 GB module, keeping it as spare). There is now 4 GB memory in that NAS!
