Best of a bad lot.

The tire itself is another story: Dunlop's Sportmax series is a decent performance tire with huge mph rating reserves, with the best pricing in an overpriced field. Although handling is secure and responsive, like all motorcycle tires, $200 for a 11,000 mile (16,000 km) tread life is simply unacceptable. Motorcycling's secret little scam, like inkjet cartridges and men's razor blades, is tires that don't hold up and cost too much. The motorcycle tire industry can and should do better.
