Faulty cord

I've been having issues since I got this; for one, it wasn't made heavily clear that it was a headset only, but the biggest issue was that it has a faulty cord. I can't get the headset to connect with a constant hardware issue, I believe the cord isn't working; it looks fine on the outside, so now I have to buy a whole new cord. And none of this stated at all in the listing
