Expect connector failures.

This works well, I have 3 of them. However there is a mechanical problem with the connector jacks. After plugging headphones in several times the springing if the metal in the jacks fails and it will lose the connection. Hence they do not last very long. The cure is to crack open the plastic housing (a little difficult to split open) and then using a pin push the crimp springing metal of the module' connector back in so that it will lock down onto the connector as it should. That fixes it. I typically do not bother to replace the plastic housing should I need to have to do that again. What is interesting is that without the housing reveals a green led that will flicker as sound is transferred through it. Odd that it is only visible without the housing. Surprisingly the actual fidelity of the output is very good. I would not recommend this to someone not handy enough to perform the fix I have outlined.

Can't go wrong!

Unlike the Samsung OEM model PM 981, this drive has full Samsung support with driver and Samsung Magician software. I note that there is suddenly quite a lot of competition between brands brewing presently, but Samsung is still the front runner.
