Impressive Performance - Steep Learning Curve
1 personnes sur 2 ont jugé cet avis utile. The HP Prime is really two calculators in one. The "TextBook" mode lets you work in the conventional entry mode. The "CAS Mode" lets you use preformatted equation patterns - you just fill in the blanks.
It also accommodates apps, both furnished and downloaded from HP forums.
As an electrical engineer, I appreciate the ease at which it handles complex numbers.
I like the large color screen and the built-in lithium battery.
Be prepared for a substantial learning curve. The on-line instruction manual is ~ 500 pages long.

Usable Dimmer Control for 12VDC LED light string
Used as dimmer for LED string of tent lights. Satisfactory. Tried it on LED desk lamp which had its own 3 step dimmer. Caused unit to fail. Have purchased a 2nd unit and will be careful how it is applied. Electronics within unit are fairly sophisticated.

The Best of Canon's "G" Series - To date
I have owned a Canon G9 & G11 previous to this G15. There is a world of difference, primarily in the quality of the photo and in the digital enhancements. While it is a point-and-shoot, it is fully a professional camera.
The sensor is large and sensitive. The electronics are low noise. This is the first point-and-shoot I have been able to take photos in very low light situations without flash and no have them full of color noise.
The camera shoots RAW in all modes including AUTO. It takes videos. And it has very good battery life. It is also a bit smaller and fits in a shirt pocket. All of this makes it a good camera for vacations, parties, events, and other situations where you don't have a lot of time to capture the shot.
The only negative: the LCD display is not on a swivel. That was a nice feature which let you hold the camera above your head - and the crowd - and still see what you were aiming at.
