Good Case, But Definitely Designed For Nostalgia over Using as a Game Case
Dont get me wrong, it holds the game cards in the case well, releases them well too, the pokedex face looks nice, I have 3 pieces of advice though, #1, silicon, it last much longer than foam and has a much nicer feel, #2, the hinge, they kept the aluminum and as a result, the hinge feels cheap, I wish the hinge was steel as it could be much more compact, a bit more realistic, and yeah, could have improved the build alot, honestly, the choice of aluminum at all feels more budget and propaganda, full steel would've been such an improvement, and even if it added a few ounces, that's add to the realism of a pokedex, and finally, #3, the most important adverse choice, the clasp, its basically right now a bent piece of aluminum to hold it in place, as a replica, it obviously needs a button, however a button would be impractical, instead, I would have proposed using a purely aesthetic button and then seal the two halves magnetically, a few neodymium pieces could firmly hold it in place without affecting the game data... so in review, it could've been ALOT better, with a full steel build, silicon instead of foam, and magnetic clasp rather than a tension based clasp... it is something worth picking up, but probably not at that price... if the build quality was better, I'd even pay more, but it has a few too many little inefficiencies to be used for active use, but on a decorative note with touches of practicality, this product is top notch, its just not for taking your games with you wherever you go...
