Wood Moisture Meter - Digital Moisture Detector Moisture Tester, Pin-Type Water

Good product for the money

Simple but effective measuring of moisture content in wood. I use it to measure moisture content of woods used in my woodshop. So far...it works well. The only gripe I have is that some of the woods I use are not listed on the chart for selecting the correct setting. This seems to be a very simple fix for the manufacturer.....if they would just do this I am sure there will be many 5 star ratings.

Not for making hardwood wheels.

Most likely will work for what it is specifically designed for...cutting holes. I do not recommend this product for hardwoods....I purchased it to cut out 3 1/2 inch wheels from 3/4 maple. Very slow...heated up the wood so much that it caused the maple to form cracks. I guess I could have cut the wheels even slower....but then...time is money...I did not have the time to mess around with this...ended up cutting the wheels on the band saw and finish sanding on disc sander...much faster. If you are cutting holes in softwood....than go for it...if you need to cut multiple holes in hardwood...maybe not the answer. Certainly not very good for cutting wheels (as you need to change the positioning of the cutting tool to get a flat running surface on the wheel.

Unable to review at this time

I am unable to review this product..the product did not work as it had a lens error warning when turned on and froze up. returned. I returned the product and decided not to purchase another one. Evidently, the product is well liked by others.
