High quality, reasonable price.
SKB makes great cases. The instrument doesn't slip around inside it, and the insulation and exterior are strong enough to take a drop from normal carrying height without worrying. How many times has your G&G case taken a minor bump and popped a latch?
These are SKBs more light weight cases, and there is some wiggle room from the bottom. This means as the top ages, and the padding compresses, the instrument won't be as snug. Ok. If you want a case for 25 years of daily hard wear, get SKBs higher end model.

Souped up Golds, very well matched.
These custom Lace Sensors are a lot like well matched Golds. They sound fine with 250k pots, but I think both tones need their own capacitor. What I like best about these is that they do the transition between a clean, undistorted sound to a heavily layered, gainy sound as well as Lace's Holy Grails.

Great neck, but needs TLC. Be careful not to overpay!
If purchased at the right price, and the fret board is treated properly, these necks can really shine. Important detail: All of Fender's ebony fret board necks need at least an off the shelf oil treatment, if not a full professional set up by a qualified luthier. The fret wire quality is quite high, so once the ebony isn't as dry as a matchstick, as long as one doesn't do anything too crazy these will last a REALLY long time and only get better with age. In this they sort of remind me of the Gibson ebony necks used on Studio Les Pauls.
The compound radius isn't for everyone, but it is comfortable. If one likes to keep their action lower than the height Fender recommends, it's maybe worth considering a neck that isn't compound... a Robert Johnson neck is going to be flatter, a American professional w. ebony will be more standard. Of course, they'll need the fifth offset neck plate post hole, and won't fit the bodies contour perfectly, but American Deluxe replacement necks generally do (although priced on the high side).
Beware: shop around. I've seen these for sale at a wide range of prices. Don't spend hundreds of dollars more than necessary on a replacement neck for a model that's been discontinued.
