You can take the temp 3x in a row and get 3 different readings, other times all within 1/10th. The forehead scanner is even less accurate. A digital mouth or armpit using the oral thermometer is still the most reliable. This serves a purpose but definitely has its limitations. You also need the probe covers that are around $8 per 50, that keeps you paying over the long term if you can find them. Do I like it yes, is it something I'd trust a life to definitely not. Good old alcohol thermometer, cheep and it works.
