CPU can't boot most of the time
1 personnes sur 5 ont jugé cet avis utile. I was happy when I got my CPU in the mail. I've wanted to upgrade my secondary machine for quite a while.
It currently has a dual core CPU and since I'm using it as a server I wanted to upgrade to a quad core. So I rolled the dice and bought one on ebay. The Intel Core 2 Quad Q9500 I got can't boot the operating system half the time. I've tried everything. I have two motherboards of the same type. Tried them both. I made sure that the bios is fully up to date. I replaced the battery on the motherboards. I tested the memory and tried several different operating systems on different SSD's. Simply put the problem is the CPU. It's not reliable. As soon as I plopped my old CPU in the system was stable and fine. Alas, I was sold a dud.
