Inexpensive alternative!
This gem got me out of a jam to provide ethernet access to a device that changed to an Ip based product. This saved me hundreds of dollars as I did not have to pull new cable, not to mention the extra labor and delays. So far, so good on performance. I guess time will tell as far as durability.

Handy device to save your non-poe devices from damage!
A great item to help prevent damage to non-poe devices being plugged into poe switches (where the switch may not negotiate the power needs of the attached device correctly, as is the case with my voice gateway). I highly recommend it.
