Great, realistic, intelligent ghost story

This was a great movie when I saw it in the sixties as a kid, and it is a great movie today. It provides an intelligent and insightful treatment of a haunting in the English West Country. Having grown up in a haunted house myself, I found it almost too realistic, and am getting goosebumps as I right this. It made me a Ray Milland fan, too!

One of the most interesting and most enduring comedy films ever made.

One of the most interesting movies ever made, with some of the most interesting characters. It's thematically set in the Korean War, but it is Vietnam War counter-culture all the way, and it established characters like Radar O'Reilly and Hawkeye Pierce and Hotlips and the base dentist "Painless", who will live on in our movie lore forever.
