Amazing How Well It Works
1 personnes sur 1 ont jugé cet avis utile. It was smaller than I expected and I wasn't sure if it would really work. I wondered if the mouse's body would keep the door from springing shut. But after I caught 3 mice in the span of 6 hours, my doubts faded. Works amazingly well. The smell of the peanut butter on the cracker lures the mouse in, and sometimes I put some cheerios near the spring-loaded door as well. When I first set it up, it was only about an hour later that I heard the door snap shut. I looked, and there was the little mouse, completely inside and unharmed. Took it outside and released into the woods and reset the trap.
Caught 11 mice before I had a problem. Mouse # 11 chewed on the plastic tab that holds the trap door open when you set the trap, so I couldn't reset it. I decided it had worked so well up to that point, I would buy another one. When the new one arrived, I noticed it had a metal piece attached to the tab to discourage gnawing. So you might ask the seller for one with that modification.
One other trick I learned - sometimes small mice are so light they don't trip the release. I added a little weight to the trigger paddle and that did the trick. One way you can tell if a mouse has been in and out without getting caught is to put the cheerios inside the trap and see if they're gone later.

Easy to Set Up
As this was an open box product, I reset it to factory settings first by using the reset button. Then I followed the set-up procedure in the phone app and was able to link to a TV in about 5 minutes. It helps if you already know how to do casting from your laptop to a TV. Otherwise, it may take some time to learn about that end of the link. But the Chromecast device itself worked like a charm.
