Excellent playing and sound quality = LvB SQs I listen to again & again.

I don't understand why people don't like the Emersons. I don't find them "cold" or "clinical," as some have described them. Rather, they draw me in in a way nearly no string quartet does in Beethoven. I can listen, and have listened, to these quartets for days on end.

Fiesta butter dish in turquoise.

This was an especially nicely made Fiesta Butter Dish. The color saturation is perfect. You can see the striations. Lately, Fiesta has been making Fiesta -- turquoise, at least -- with such extreme color saturation, all you can see is the glaze. The circles and striations are invisible, and it's those things that make Fiesta Fiesta. Also, I understand they're not making this butter dish anymore, because it only takes East Coast butter sticks (long and thin). They are now making the Extra Large butter dish, to accommodate West Coast butter sticks (short and fat) as well as East Coast. It's a more useful shape, but I prefer this one.

The Beethoven Quintet is one of the classic recordings everyone who likes chamber music should own. I am not equally familiar with the Mozart.
