Ideal Cat Dog LOCKABLE PET SCREEN DOOR - Easy Install

Mostly good

Overall a pretty good quality item. It's certainly one of the more spacious cat doors I've seen. The frame is sturdy and the connection to the screen is good. My only issue is that the locking mechanism is a tiny little plastic tab. It's not even solid plastic, it's two toothpick-sized spars. My cat is by no means large or powerful but in only 5 seconds she was able to bend the screen and locking tab until the flap was on the verge of opening. Since then I've gone to Home Depot to buy some sliding window locks and drilled/installed them onto the top and bottom of the frame to assure it remains closed when locked. I'd recommend buying this but at the very least, discard the locking tab that comes with it and just make one out of bended metal. Anything will do, even aluminum. This may keep the flap closed but is no guarantee that the cat can't push the screen out of the bottom door.

Overall a great radio - but fix the heat problem before heat damage affects

I've bought 4 of these for my various cars over the last 7 years. There's only one real flaw but it's easily compensated for. These things tend to overheat. In my case I mounted a heatsink w/ fan to the bottom of the stereo and another fan under the faceplate to draw the heat out. Other than that, this is a great radio with an easy to work with display. Pretty much flawless.
