A pathetic waste of time and money! Not a good value.

This tune up kit was a waste of time and money. My generator was running good but after about 10 years of work, I thought that a new carburetor and tune up kit would be a good idea to add future life to my generator. This kit had good reviews so I thought that i would give it a go. When I looked at the cheep Chinese spark plug, I started to have second thoughts but I went a head and installed everything. Pathetic cheap fuel lines are part of the kit. The carburetor is stamped "made in Japan" but it was worthless. When I installed everything and tried to start my generator, it simply would not keep running. it would sputter and shake and then die - over and over. I tried to adjust the carb, but the limited adjustment was fruitless. Finally I removed the new carburetor and spark plug and put back the old ones. When I hit the starter, the engine came to life and purred like it should. I felt like I had been used. I never should have wasted my time!

Fixes a tired generator

The battery on my generator had died a couple of years ago and I had resorted to pulling the rope when I needed to use the generator. The last time I needed it was a cold day and starting the generator was more trouble than it was worth. I thought about getting a new generator and figured I could get a little bit for the old one and have a generator that would work when I wanted. I thought I might try a new battery first. A quick install, touch the start button, and the generator started like it was new. A great battery!
