The Pirates! In an Adventure with Scientists: A Novel

Wacky Pirates!

The first in a series, this is a wonderful, silly tale about Pirates that play with words and concepts both modern and old. In this story, the Pirates run into Charles Darwin who has this theory called "Evolution" and the Bishop of Oxford back in England will do anything to stop him. It's a quick read, and a joy from start to finish. It seems aimed at the young, but it does have some dark humor. I can't wait to read the other ones in the series.

While it's wonderful to get a "missing e...

While it's wonderful to get a "missing episode", the animation is abysmal. At least we have the existing episode and reconstructions to enjoy. And the extras are fun, though the escape room could have been trimmed a bit more that it was.

The "worst" season in Classic Doctor Who?

Maybe it is the worst, but it's still Doctor Who and still much better than most other television shows. With this season, the special effects jump in quality by a large degree. Sylvester McCoy is a great Doctor. Mel... Isn't my favorite. But Ace is fantastic. Wish the writing was better, but the next two seasons after this are much better with Andrew Cartmell taking over. Still worth it. A great transfer. And at least it goes up from here. :)
