Given the price of AAs, if you buy this used, it'll pay for itself in a few months lol

Good intermediate STEM kit
3 personnes sur 3 ont jugé cet avis utile. The EV3 is a great kit to learn robotics, and if you're into it, there's a special flavor of Linux designed specifically for the smart brick. It's pretty straightforward to set that up (read the tutorial very VERY carefully and Google your problems!), and you can learn Python that way which is a great first-time language.
That said, be careful buying these kits Used- there's a LOT of parts that can be missing. That said, the electronics are the expensive part (the sensors, motors, and smartbrick)- if it has those, the misc. gears and bars and stuff can be sourced elsewhere pretty easily. But if you're taking that route, you gotta be okay with substituting parts and whatnot.

Works with EV3
Works with EV3. Unlike the older models, the axle is lined up with the mounting holes on one side, which can be really helpful depending on your setup.
