Excellent Alpine and great deal if you find a good one MOST are NOT !!!,Be gentle they are over 10 yrs old .

I'm a long time audiophile as well as a 20+year high end installer and tech .All that being said I have bought several 7894's mostly for parts so I'd have them .But since I have written this everyone who has a ratty scratched up dirty 7894 tries to sell it for $150.00 sorry they're not worth that ,almost all I have seen lately are only worth about $40.00Theyare only worth$$$if they are in really good condition,spotless and buttons not all rubbed off!!! OK that being said,they have a good overall sound quality , however I always use amps and turn off the internal amp don't think you're going to get 60 x 4 although they have good power for a radio especially with the built in Xover . Good overall deck NOW FOR THE MAIN REASON I USE THEM is they are a good head unit to modify I have rebuilt the power supply with a variety of HighEnd capacitors ,a new enclosure as well as have designed a Highbrid vacuum tube/transistor output section with these mods the are great sounding,higher signal to noise and better sound stage as well as overall presentation!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cliff Designs now 4"

Although I am a huge fan of the old Cliff Designs brand these were made by the company that bought they're name , they produce a lot of bass but that's it, and aren't even close to the quality of the old Vifa made units !
