Excellent choice for both amateurs and professionals - all the perks including 4K video!

Although it is toted as being "great" just because it is the first entry level mirrorless camera from Canon to shoot 4K video, that really isn't what makes the camera so great. If you line up the specs side by side with all the other Canon DSLRs in the EOS lineup, you'll see why this one is the best of them all... it just rocks! Plus, it isn't too light nor is it too heavy.. not too big, not too small. It is the perfect camera for both amateurs who want something that will last for years and give solid performance or professionals who need a secondary camera that shoots as well as their best. Granted, it isn't a $5000 camera, but there are so many things it can do just the same as those cameras, which is what makes it a steal at any price under $550. The picture quality is fantastic - even if you're a newbie to photography, you can set everything to auto mode and take the most amazing pictures with all the built in presets there are for the camera. The auto focus on this thing is an engineering masterpiece. Plus, with the purchase of a small adapter, you can take older EF and EF-S lenses and mount them to this camera with full auto and image stabilization! I am still in shock and awe at how amazing this camera really is, especially at this price point. You simply cannot go wrong with the EOS M50!
