Hasselblad 500EL Medium Format SLR Film Camera Body Only

Heavy, solid workhorse medium format camera

If you 're looking for a bargain in Hasselblad, the old 500EL cameras are it. People shy away from them because most of them have a lot of miles on it, but at 1/3 to 1/6 the cost of the mechanical bodies it's worth taking a chance. Just replace the original batteries with a 9 volt adapter (there are many sellers who sell them) and you're good to go. Digital backs are startging to come down in price on the used market as well, so it's easy to convert this into a digital medium format camera.

Acufine Diafine 2 Bath Black White Film Developer Concentrate, Makes 1 Gal

Great developer for certain films.

Diafine has a certain cult following in the black and white film crowd. It doesn't really seem to care what temperature you develop at, or how long you develop for -- Diafine is going to develop your negatives it's way and you better shoot with that in mind. It pushes some films, some films it doesn't, and some films it doesn't work well with at all (TMAX, for example). But some films, like Tri-X really come to life in this stuff. You can shoot Tri-x at ISO 1250 and it will come out great. Where it really shines is economy. If you are careful not to contaminate it, this stuff will last for years and will process hundreds, if not thousands of rolls of film. Get a little bit of the B solution in the A and you will have to dump the who batch.
